Aurora man uses woodworking skills to help veterans

Aurora resident Greg Zilioli, 48, who is working to help teach veterans woodworking skills, is haunted by the number of veterans who commit suicide.
According to the Veterans Administration, there were more than 6,000 suicides by veterans each year from 2008 to 2016.
“There was a story in the news four or five years ago that you kept hearing over and over again about the number of daily suicides,” he said.
“So many of these people aren’t treated well as civilians and are out of work,” he said. “They get their benefit checks each month but that’s no way to live.”
